Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.

Catching a bus

Many of our students travel on our school bus. Free bus travel is provided by the NSW State Government for all school aged children. Applications for free bus travel should be made when you enrol your child. To apply for free bus travel please visit Apply for a school travel pass or School Opal card | transportnsw.info

Bus information

The school bus delivers students by 9.00am and picks them up by 3.15pm. Parents must communicate with the school if students are to go home using a different mode of transport than usual.

Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones
• follow speed signs
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
• driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
• being a good role model
• never calling your child from across the road
• using the safest place to cross the road.

Parking on school grounds

Please park with the rear of your vehicle facing the fence. This positioning helps ensure better visibility and safer exit from the carpark.

For parents and carers of younger children

Discuss with your child how to be safe when:

• walking
• in the car
• waiting for, travelling on, and getting off the bus
• riding bikes, scooters and skateboards.

Also talk about and practise:

• safe travel routes
• plans for when unexpected things happen
• what to do in wet weather.

Subsidised school travel

Transport for NSW provides subsidies to assist school students.

• The  School Student Transport Scheme  provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.
• The  School Drive Subsidy  may help towards the costs of driving children to school if you live in an area where there is no public transport.
